Steakhouse Seasoning

Use this seasoning not just for steaks, but for vegetables, chicken, fish...you name it!

Ingredients

  • 2 Tbsp Whole Black Peppercorns

  • ½ Tbsp Whole Yellow Mustard Seeds

  • ½ Tbsp Whole Black Mustard Seeds

  • 2 Tsp Dried Dill

  • 1 Tsp Coriander Seeds

  • 1 Tbsp + 1 Tsp Kosher Salt (Optional)

  • 1 Tbsp of Dried Fried Garlic or Dried Chopped Garlic

  • 1 Tsp Dried Chopped Onion

  • 1 Tsp Red Pepper Flakes

Preparation

  1. Heat a small skillet on medium

  2. Dry toast all whole spices for two minutes, or until the seeds start popping.

  3. Allow to cool slightly for two minutes

  4. Toss into your spice grinder and roughly grind the whole spices.

  5. Add garlic, onion, red pepper flakes, dill and salt (if using) into the grinder. Briefly grind for a few seconds.

  6. Store in a sealed container for up to a month

Tips

You can control the spiciness by increasing or decreasing the amount of red pepper flakes. You can also just use all yellow mustard seeds for a milder seasoning.
